Everspace looks to fill in the void from No Man’s Sky

Only the Lords of Kobol know when we will actually see No Man’s Sky, the beautiful space exploration game from Hello Games. Despite the years of development, people’s anticipation for that one have yet to really wan, so it was no surprise when other’s would take notice of public approval and try and beat NMS to the punch. Enter Everspace from Rockfish Games.

These guys previously delivered Galaxy on Fire, a strategy MMO for mobile devices and now they’re trying to tackle an expansive 3D space shooter that fuses non-linear storytelling and rogue-like elements. Via Kickstarter the team has raised over $160,000 of their $244, 285 goal with nearly a month left to go and the project really does look impressive.

If the Kickstarter succeeds, the team plans to release for late in 2016 and will feature VR support for Oculus fans. Everspace is shaping up to be a good contender for those of us thirsty for a good new space exploration game.
