Everything you need to know about Batman: Arkham Knight

So you want to buy Batman: Arkham Knight? There are a couple of things you need to know about the game before purchase — things like PC specs, what kind of DLC to expect, updates and maybe even what the internet is saying about the game.

If you were to ask the Internet how people feel about the last game in the Batman Arkham trilogy, it would say 'It's a good thing the series is over, because there is no Batman game that will beat this one.' Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 23rd.

Day One Update

Yes, there will be one — it's not too big and will improve overall game performance and add new features (details here).

DLC

The first thing you need to know about the DLC for Arkham Knight is that any retail-exclusive DLC will be a available to Season Pass holders and Premium edition purchasers when the period of exclusivity for the items ends (sometime around August/September, more details here).

What's the retail exclusive DLC?

• Batmobile / Booster Pack

PS4 Exclusive DLC:

• Justice League 3000 Batman skin, retro the Batman Classic TV Series Batman and Batmobile skins.
• Scarecrow Nightmare Missions

  • Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.
• Gotham City Stories
  • Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.
• Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks
  • Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.

PC System Requirements

Various tidbits of information:

• The Batmobile Edition has been cancelled across all retailers.
• There's no multiplayer in the game, there's Dual Play. Take a deeper look at it here.
• There will be a 'New Game Plus' feature for the game that is unlocked after you complete the main story.
• The voice actors for the game come from shows like Breaking Bad, Fringe and more.
