As you're probably aware by now, Driveclub — the highly anticipated PS4 exclusive racing game from Evolution studios — released today. The global servers are live for online play, but unfortunately many users are reporting error messages when attempting to connect. Evolution Studios and Sony are aware of these problems and working on a fix.
"We are aware however that many players are receiving an error message indicating 'there is a fault with your internet connection' and we are investigating what appears to be a wider server issue behind this problem," Evolution Studios said in an update tonight.
The developer noted that the problem isn't affecting everybody, and that the game will keep trying to connect to the server automatically, "so you don't need to do anythign with the game (like re-install or restart over and over) to establish connectivity."
Driveclub has been receiving mixed reviews since launch and scored a 7/10 here on GameZone. Check out our full review here.
