E3 has provided us a glimpse into Season 2 of Evolve. With it will come one new Monster and four new Hunters, the first of which was revealed today.
Lennox is the next Assault to join the fight in Evolve. Suited up in her self-made mech armor, Lennox is a melee Hunter armed with a combo dealing Plasma Lance. At range, she lays heavy fire with her Autocannon and can close the gap with a blast from her Thunder Strike. She is the first female assault character in Evolve and built her armor mech suit from the wreckage found on Shear. New gameplay mechanics regarding the implementation of the strike multipier and how it's reset are covered in length in the trailer.
“The new Monster and Hunters coming to Evolve in Hunting Season 2 are some of the most unique characters our team has created,” said Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios. “Each of these characters introduces combat mechanics that are brand new to the Evolve gameplay experience.”
The new characters will be offered individually or as part of Hunting Season 2, which is presumably some sort of Season Pass.
2K provided some screen shots and a gameplay video of Lennox in action from the E3 show floor today. Seaseon 2 of Evolve will begin on June 24th. Other characters also revealed at a later date.
