There's no doubt watching matches of Evolve is an exhilarating feeling. Heck, there's people in the GameZone office who prefer watching the game over actually playing it. To each their own, I suppose.
Looking to support those in the Evolve community who prefer watching, developer Turtle Rock Studios has revealed a new Observer Mode, a new feature that looks to simplify the livestreaming process for the co-op/competitive shooter.
"You can now have Custom matches with 1 to 5 players, then add an Observer to your game, using the Hunter/Monster selection screen. Not only can you watch the game as the sixth player, but you can also use Observer mode to livestream these matches with added commentary," Turtle Rock said.
Observer Mode will offer a number of features including the ability to seamlessly switch views between Hunters and Monster; a custom HUD that provides "vital information" about everyone playing, without on-screen clutter; and a DaisyCam, which is exactly what it sounds like — a camera that lets you see what Maggie's pet trapjaw Daisy is up to.
Observer Mode doesn't yet have a release date, but is said to be "coming soon." It will be available on all platforms for free. Evolve launched across PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 10; if you've yet to play it, but are curious, check out our review.
