Exclusive: Inversion ‘Launch’ trailer will turn your world upside down

Namco Bandai's new gravity-bending shooter Inversion doesn't launch until June 5, but that doesn't mean we can't defy gravity a little early.

Today's exclusive launch trailer offers you a new look at Inversion and the action-packed gameplay that awaits you when it launches next week.

Inversion, which offers you the ability to command and manipulate gravity, has you take on the role of young father and husband Davis Russel whose world is turned upside down when his city is invaded by an unknown enemy.  With his daughter missing and conventional weapons rendered useless, it's up to Davis to master the forces of gravity and save the world.

You won't be alone in this action thriller, however. Inversion will allow for two player story mode co-op (online and offline) as Davis is joined by his partner Leo Delgado.  In addition to co-op, Inversion features online competitive modes which have you battle with up to 12 players in gravity defying multiplayer maps and modes.

So how do you manipulate gravity exactly?  Using your Gravlink device you can increase or decrease the amount of gravity on a given target allowing you to maneuver your way through a weightless environment, crush objects in your way, float enemies into range, or pick up cars to use them as mobile cover.

Excited yet?  Maybe you should check out this Inversion trailer.  If the sequence on the side of the building doesn't get you pumped for the game's launch on June 5, then I don't know what will.  Inversion will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
