Exclusive sneak peek at Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Behind-the-scenes footage of Harry Potter spinoff film

Making its debut at "A Celebration of Harry Potter 2016," a Potter-centric fan event held at Universal Studios Orlando's Wizarding World of Harry Potter, comes a brand new behind-the-scenes video of Warner Bros. Pictures upcoming film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a prequel to the Harry Potter films, telling the adventures of writer Newt Scamander who makes a brief stopover in New York after having completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.

"Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…" the movie description reads, "..were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds."

Newt's story actually takes place 70 years before Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger arrive at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, where they actually use his book in their studies.

We got our first look at the movie last month in the form of a two-minute teaser that was full of magic, but light on actual movie footage. Today's video is more of a behind-the-scenes look at the film, but is still just as magical. More importantly, it provides details on some of the new characters you'll meet.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in theaters on November 18, 2016.
