Exploding Kittens hits iOS with local multiplayer

The massively successful Kickstarter card game, Exploding Kittens, has officially made its way to iOS, meaning you can now play this Russian Roulette style card game on the go, provided you have friends to play it with.

The game revolves around drawing cards in hopes of not drawing an exploding kitten. If you do, you're out of the game. That's of course unless you play a defuse card. There are many other strategies to this game that can make you success and screw other players over, which is easily the game's biggest draw.

The iOS version will work exactly the same way, except you'll need friends who have the app as well. The app will cost you $1.99, which is just 10% of the physical game's price

Features:
  • Play with 2 to 5 players across multiple mobile phones

  • New cards & sound effects exclusive to the digital version of Exploding Kittens

  • Russian-roulette-style multiplayer card game, the only way to win is not to explode

  • The digital version of the most backed game in Kickstarter history

  • Art illustrated by The Oatmeal

  • The only way to win is not to explode

  • Players can select from two decks (10 cards vs. 16 cards) to fit their game size.

  • Core Deck: 10 card types with 2 cards never-seen-before

  • Party Deck: 16 card types with an additional 6 never-seen-before cards.

  • Players can level-up their game by purchasing the “Avatar Packs” allowing for personalization and custom sounds for the unlocked avatars.

It's a shame that the game can't be played online with other players, as it would open up a lot more opportunities for people to play, when they don't have any friends around, but perhaps that might come in the future?

In the meantime, you can check out the Exploding Kittens iOS app right here.
