New Fable announced for Xbox Series X

After 2010, Lionhead’s iconic RPG series, Fable fell to the wayside. A failed spin-off on Xbox One ultimately sunk the series and the studio behind it but now, it’s making its long rumored return.

Today at the Xbox Showcase, it was revealed that Forza Horizon’s Playground Games is developing a new Fable. This has been a rumor for many years but with Xbox Series X on the horizon (no pun intended), Microsoft has finally lifted the curtain on it. It’s real… and that’s all we know. You can take a look at the brief teaser below.

Details are pretty much non-existent outside of a developer and it being in development. Fable will release on Xbox Series X and Windows when it releases but it doesn’t seem like it will be anytime soon. While it was expected it may be a launch game, it likely won’t be. Instead, you can look to Halo Infinite for that which had its big gameplay reveal today.
