Fable Heroes announced by Microsoft

Despite Fable 3's lackluster response from critics, fans are still itching to return to Albion and reign has king. Microsoft, though, threw us curve ball today, announcing Fable Heroes.

According to the company, Fable Heroes is a four-player action hack-and-slash XBLA title, featuring bright, cartoony graphics. Players will return to Albion, reigning as heroes, battling "familiar foes" as well as knew enemies. The title will feature upgrades for armor, weapons, as well as collectable coins to spend at will for special items.

No date or price has yet been released for the game, but Microsoft does indeed sound ambitious with this project. Fable's background with Castle Crasher's gameplay could create an insanely fun experience that'll hopefully offer bang for your buck. Excited or not? Let us know by commenting below.
