Facebook’s Games of Thrones: Ascent due soon for iOS and Android

Facebook title Game of Thrones: Ascent is headed to iOS and Android "in the near future," developer Disruptor Beam confirmed to Gamezebo.

The strategy game, which debuted on the social network in February 2013, will support cross-platform play between Facebook and mobile devices, meaning players can link their account between versions. Or they can choose to start from scratch and maintain separate save files.

Disruptor Beam isn't worried about Telltale Games launching its own take on Game of Thrones sometime this year:

“I don’t think that Game of Thrones: Ascent and the Telltale game are directly competitive because people in this fan base are going to play both games,” Jon Radoff, the CEO of Disruptor Beam, told Gamezebo. “As with any IP, whether it’s Game of Thrones or Star Wars or Walking Dead or any of these that just become super popular, you’re going to start to have multiple games.

"But to my knowledge, all of them, including the console games that came before us, are all quite different. None of us are replacements for each other."
