Fake MGS announcement website now links us to a Silent Hills revival petition

Would Konami reconsider reviving 'Silent Hills'?

The website that had many of us trolled, has now changed its course and is making itself somewhat useful. Ingsoc.org originally took us to a video that had nothing to do with Kojima or MGS, but recently the link has been updated and now brings us to a petition for the revival of ‘Silent Hills’.

The petition originally started a couple a months ago, and as of writing the petition has 183,000 signatures, including Del Toro’s. This is interesting as it brings the relevance of P.T. back into talks. With Kojima done with the Metal Gear franchise, regardless what Konami intends to do with it, it might just be the perfect time for Kojima and Konami to make up and continue work on ‘Silent Hills’.

Not many games create such a buzz around themselves  like P.T. has in the short time it was alive. The game was only a playable teaser that displayed a couple of scary elements that Kojima and Del Toro cooked up. Del Toro stated "I think if anything can be rescued, I will be more than happy.” Could we see a return from both Kojima and Del Toro?

The petition on Change.org might not get us the revival of ‘Silent Hills’, but it might give Konami something to think about. If all were to go well, maybe the friction between Kojima and Konami could be resolved, allowing him to work on 'Silent Hills' while overseeing future Metal Gear projects, but who knows, this could all end up as spam mail at Konami' HQ.
