Those of you already committed to Fallout 4 can now go ahead and pre-order the game's season pass on Xbox One; although, I urge you to wait as Bethesda has yet to actually announce the details for the add-on content.
I suggest treating it like a full game. Until you know what's in it, don't give them your money. For those of you on PS4 and PC that shouldn't be a problem as the season pass is not yet available for pre-order. Bethesda's marketing executive, Pete Hines, says to "stay tuned" for pre-order details on those platforms.
Bethesda maintains that since they are still "hard at work on the game, we don't know what the actual DLC will be yet." The developer has already shared their overall vision for supporting Fallout 4 post-launch, and DLC is just one part of their plans. Fallout 4 will also be supported with mods. The Creation Kit will be hitting PC "early next year," with some of the mods coming to Xbox One and PS4 after. Behtesda is also planning "regular free update" that will introduce new features, similar to what we saw with Skyrim.
Fallout 4 is set to release on November 10 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
