Next week, Bethesda will release an update for Fallout 4 on PC that introduces the realistic "Survival Mode". The update will only be available through Steam beta until Bethesda decides to officially release it for console and take it out of beta on PC.
The new difficulty will introduce similar mechanics seen in Fallout: New Vegas's Hardcore mode into Fallout 4. You will need to maintain your characters physical health by sleeping, eating regularly, staying hydrated and more. It's meant for the more hardcore fans of Fallout and will prove difficult for many players.
In addition to this news, players on all platforms can pick up the new DLC for the game titled Automatron. The expansion allows players to build their own custom robot companions using the games unqiue crafting and modding mechanics. It also includes a few new story quests where you must defeat the creator of an evil faction of robots. Season pass owners can download the expansion for free and other players can buy it for $10.
