We have about two weeks until Fallout 4 makes its way into your needy little hands and if you're at least 17 years old (or look 17 enough) you shouldn't have a hard time getting in on some post-apocalyptic gameplay — well, at least in the United States.
In Europe and Japan, you'll need to be at least 18 to grab the game. Games with the CERO Z (18+) rating in Japan don't often make it to the front of shelves without undergoing some censoring. Kind of like the way Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water had is sexy lingerie removed in the Western version, but was still available in the Japan version (except the opposite).
According to Bethesda (via Dual Shockers), the Japanese version will not be censored like Until Dawn and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Fallout 4 in Japan will be the same as the Western version. The 18+ rating is likely from the bloody gameplay, similar to the bloody gameplay that shown off yesterday. The game's VATS also deals with a quite a bit of blood, but at least we know the game won't be censored!
