Were you excited when you woke up to "news" that Bethesda had trademarked something called Fallout: Shadow of Boston? Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but it was just a fake.
The rumor stemmed from a NeoGAF post this morning in which a user discovered the trademark for Fallout: Shadow of Boston. As goes the internet, multiple outlets picked this up, despite no real confirmation from Bethesda. Here's your confirmation that it's a hoax.

Sadly, this isn't the first time the internet has fallen for a Fallout hoax; although, Kotaku claims to have documents proving that Fallout 4 is real and set in Boston.
