Android owners eagerly awaiting the arrival of Bethesda's new mobile game, Fallout Shelter, could have to wait "a few months" or possibly longer depending on how the development process goes.
For those unfamiliar, Fallout Shelter is a new, free-to-play mobile game inspired by Bethesda's Fallout franchise. Announced on Sunday at Bethesda's E3 press conference, the game is a mix of SimCity, XCOM, FTL, and This War of Mine, putting you in control of a Vault. As Overseer, it's your job to ensure the survival of your fellow Vault dwellers, keeping them happy, managing resources, and exploring the post-apocalyptic world outside.
Fallout Shelter was released shortly after its reveal, but only for iOS devices, leaving many Android owners wondering when they could get their hands on the addictive little game. Turns out, it may take longer than initially expected. According to Bethesda, it could take "a few months" before Fallout Shelter arrives on Android.
Yes, we're also working on Fallout Shelter for Android. Hopefully out in a few months.

Unfortunately, that's all the info we were given. Bethesda has already confirmed to us that Fallout Shelter is not a timed Apple-exclusive, so any hold up could be attributed to development issues. So until we hear further word, the only confirmation from Bethesda is that Fallout Shelter will be released for Android "later."
