Fallout Shelter now live on the iTunes App Store; info on Android version coming later

As promised, Bethesda's newly revealed mobile game Fallout Shelter was released tonight, and is now available for download from the iTunes App Store for iOS devices.

For those who missed Bethesda's E3 press conference, Fallout Shelter is a post-nuclear strategy and simulation experience created exclusively for mobile devices — and released as what seems to be a timed exclusive for iOS devies.

In the game, you are the Overseer of a state-of-the-art underground Vault. Your goal is to build the perfect Vault from a variety of rooms, oversee your very own thriving community of Vault Dwellers, and protect them from the dangers of the Wasteland.

Fallout Shelter is the first-ever mobile game set in the Fallout Universe and is completely free to play with no paywall timers, and no internet connection required.

Fallout Shelter is currently only available on the iTunes App Store for iPhone and iPad. There was absolutely no mention of its availability on Android devices in the press release, but Bethesda's Director of PR and Marketing Pete Hines says they'll have more info about an Android version later.
