A new update for Bethesda's hit mobile game Fallout Shelter was released today, introducing a new Photo Feature and fixing a few bugs.
"Vault-Tec engineers are hard at work improving your experience!" Bethesda wrote in the patch notes for the update (version 1.0.3 on iPhone). "Keep the feedback coming!"
The full patch notes include:
- Overseers are encouraged to record any bizarre dweller behavior with the new Photo Feature. Sharing with those outside your Vault is optional, and will not result in your replacement or termination.
- Vault air filters have been causing some mothers to not deliver babies and we understand this is causing long term discomfort. We have solved this )not the discomfort, the baby coming out part).
- We've also done general maintenance to improve sudden Vault shut down and removed some other pesky issues with the capacitors inside various aspects of the simulation.
"Thanks again, and keep up the great work – even if everyone is starving. It's worse outside."

Nice, comforting words from Bethesda. The update, on iPhone, is 187MB. If anything is different on your device, feel free to let me know in the comments below.
Fallout Shelter, a free-to-play post-nuclear strategy and simulation game, was announced and released earlier this month during Bethesda's E3 press conference. The free-to-play game is Bethesda's first foray in the mobile market and it has proven to be quite successful, becoming the top downloaded game on the App Store in 48 countries and the top downloaded app of any kind in 25 countries. Though only available on iOS devices currently, Bethesda is working on bringing Fallout Shelter to Android, with the latest release window slated for August.
