Fan-Made Sonic 2 HD Trailer Surfaces

Fan-made Sonic games continue to pop up on the internet. The most recent gamer-created title to star the blue blur is the new Sonic the Hedgehog 2 HD. Unlike Sonic Fan Remix, Sonic 2 HD doesn’t feature completely new visuals. Instead, the game’s graphics stay close to the Gensis original and merely have a slightly cleaner look.

A lot of fans are already behind the game, with some even complaining that Sega needs to take notes on how to make a good Sonic game (despite the fact that this is a remake of a Sega game from nearly 20 years ago). Others, however, are not as impressed and prefer Sonic Fan Remix.

Unless Sega takes action to ensure that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 HD gets pulled, you can expect the alpha release to launch sometime during the first quarter of the year.
