Fans petition for Nintendo to create special Satoru Iwata amiibo

With the very sad passing of Satoru Iwata this week, gamers and fans alike are trying to honor his legacy by encouraging Nintendo to create an amiibo for him.

As of now the petition has 17,300 signatures, you can help grow that number by visiting Change.org. All you got to do is fill out basic information and sign your name to the petition. There is no better way, in my opinion, to honor Mr. Iwata.

"On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer." – with this quote alone it shows what type of man Iwata was. A gamer at heart, which is why he connected with so many of his fans.

Nintendo has yet to respond to the petition, but when the signatures reach a significant amount, Chance.org will send it over to Nintendo and hopefully they will take it into consideration. It's worth noting that the petition is not affiliated with Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, or the family or Satoru Iwata.
