‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ already has a sequel and release date scheduled

A sequel to the upcoming 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' has been announced with a release date attached.

It was recently announced that J.K. Rowling, award-winning author of the 'Harry Potter' series, as well as the spin-off, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', has finished writing a sequel to the book, and has already begun mapping out the story for a third installment. The reveal led many to believe that a film sequel must be in the works as a result. As it turns out, those rumors were well founded.

Warner Bros. has revealed that a sequel to the film releasing this November is in the works, which could lead the way to a trilogy for the Wizarding World's expanded universe. The next movie's official release date has been set for November 16, 2018, almost exactly two years after the first film releases. Whether a third movie is expected to go into production still remains to be seen, although it is very likely.
