Ubisoft has announced details for the Far Cry 3 Multiplayer Beta, which will run for two weeks this Summer on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
According to the details, each match will have up to sixteen simultaneous players. Six playable classes will be available for the various modes along with dozens of weapons with hundreds of upgrades and customizations. Gameplay includes teamplay-focused experiences with support points and weapons, as well as the ability for all classes to revive teammates.
Participation in Far Cry 3's closed beta will be by invitation only. However, if you are a GameStop PowerUp Rewards member and purchase Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier from GameStop on May 22 you will receive an invitation code to participate.
Ubisoft will also be giving away 500 beta keys on the Far Cry 3 Facebook page.
Far Cry 3 is set to release in North America on September 4, 2012.
