The Far Cry franchise headlines this weekend’s Steam sales: 1/27/2018

With Far Cry 5 exactly two months away to the day, Steam is getting fans ready for the new entry by slashing the price on every game in the series from the original to Primal. Far Cry’s 1-3 including Blood Dragon can all be had for less than $10 each, so this is a good time to catch up and/or replay the games that got it all started.

If Far Cry isn’t your cup of tea, there’s plenty of other games on sale. The most notable one is the 10% launch discount on Subnautica, which released in full earlier this week to some pretty stellar reviews. It also doesn’t hurt that user ratings on Subnautica over the last month have ranked at Steam’s highest label of “Overwhelmingly Positive,” so the game is clearly a case of Early Access done right.

The Witness, Planet Coaster, and a free weekend of Black Desert Online round out the rest of the highlights as well as a Saturday-only deal for The Jack Box Party Pack 4.

As always, here’s a breakdown of the best games on sale this weekend.
