‘Fast 8’ will star a new female villain

Charlize Theron eyed for the position

The next installment of Fast & Furious — 'Fast 8' — will have a sole female villain, Deadline

While nothing is official, as of yet, the report also suggests that director F. Gary Gray isn't looking for any actress, but rather has an eye on one particular actress. That would be Charlize Theron, who had a stellar performance in the gritty Mad Max: Fury Road movie by Oscar-nominated George Miller. Theron definitely displayed great force in Mad Max, which would be great for a villian character to obtain.

This won't be the first time Gray and Theron worked together. The two previously worked on The Italian Job years ago. At the moment, Universal is making no comments and sources say Theron did not see any of the script.

In related news, the poster that was revealed a coupled weeks back show the words "New Roads Ahead" above the logo which could be interpreted as the series moving on from the late Paul Walker, who died in a motor vehicle accident unrelated to filming Fast & Furious 7 (Fast 7).

Vin Diesel will return in Fast 8 as Dom and the crew head to New York. However, there's talk, at least, part of the film could be shot in Cuba now that the restrictions are being lifted between the country and the U.S.
