Father and son dev team take on bad guys in Best Buds vs Bad Guys

Father's Day has come and gone, but for one developer and his 11 year old son it continues. This father and son team have launched their first Kickstarter for a game that they've titled Best Buds vs Bad Guys.

The duo, who also have Asperger's, have a deep love for run and gun games as well as exploration. Creating this game is not only about doing it together but proving that having a condition like theirs doesn't prevent you from making your dreams come true.

Richard, the father, says about the whole process:

"We wanted to create an authentic retro experience which draws upon Lucas' imaginative ideas for enemies and levels and my admiration & love of classic 80s/early 90s arcade machine games like Contra, Ghosts ’n Goblins, Green Beret, Mega Man, Bionic Commando and more. Lucas sketched out various enemy designs, and built several enemies out of Lego, which I then pixilated. The whole process was great fun.”

So far the game only has 2 backers on Kickstarter with only $160 donated but already looks amazing.
