FemRyder and BroRyder are brother and sister in Mass Effect: Andromeda

After giving us our first look at gameplay for Mass Effect: Andromeda (scaled to 4K) during last night's PlayStation Meeting, the BioWare devs sat down for a number of interviews. One of these interviews revealed that Mass Effect: Andromeda is setting us up for what could be an intergalactic family drama.

Creative director Mac Walters sat down with PlayStation Access (via NeoGaf) and revealed that FemRyder and BroRyder are siblings, but not only that, their dad was shown off too. The very first Andromeda character we saw was the father, then FemRyder during E3 2016 and most recently BroRyder.

Here's the full quote from Walters.

"At E3 we got to see our female Ryder character and now we're seeing the male Ryder character. What a lot of people don't know is that these two are brother and sister, and they both exist in the game world at the same time. So, if you're playing as the sister Ryder, your brother is somewhere in the universe. And another fun little titbit is the character you saw two E3's ago in the N7 is actually their father. So we've got the full Ryder family now revealed".
