The iOS and PC game Fieldrunners 2 is making the leap to Android next Wednesday.
Developer Subatomic Studios announced the news today on its website. The tower-defense game will release on Google Play on April 24.
Originally, the title launched on the App Store last July and then came to PC this past January.
Subatomic has applied its previous experience to making the best possible Android version.
“Bringing the original Fieldrunners to Android was a great way for us to learn the ins and outs of the platform,” said Jamie Gotch, the chief executive officer of Subatomic, in a press statement. “By applying the knowledge we gained from that experience, we’ve been able to make Fieldrunners 2 rock solid on Android. Add to that the recent closed beta test we did, and fans are in for one of the best tower-defense experiences they’ve ever seen on Android.”
Fieldrunners 2 sports a 20-hour campaign. It includes towers that turn enemies into barnyard animals and ones that fire bee hives, among other features.
Subatomic has not announced a price, but the iPhone and iPod Touch version sells for $2.99.
