FIFA 14 downloads exceed 26 million on mobile

FIFA 14 has been downloaded more than 26 million times, and it's not even on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One yet.

The iOS and Android versions of the soccer-simulation game launched in late September. This marks Electronic Arts' second-biggest mobile launch. FIFA 14 marks the first time the series has gone free-to-play, which likely accounts for the high number of downloads.

In comparison, the console versions of its predecessor, FIFA 13, sold 14.5 million copies.

FIFA 14 is coming soon to Windows Phone 8.
