FIFA 14 will also carry your Ultimate Team from current to next-gen

Madden NFL 25 isn't the only sports title that will transfer your Ultimate Team from current- to next-gen consoles. EA Sports announced today that FIFA 14 will also support this cross-gen feature that will allow you to access your full team roster, in-game items, and in-game currency (coins) from either console: Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and PS3 to PS4.

Additionally, you will maintain your current division in Seasons mode when you transfer over to the new consoles. EA also noted that after the new consoles launch, those of you who complete your current division matches and current tournaments on one console will earn status that will be recognized on both. Again, this only applies to same brand consoles when going to current-gen. Upon upgrading to the next-generation version, you'll have a one-time choice to transfer your FIFA Points between current- and next-gen systems (360 to Xbox One and PS3 to PS4).

Lastly, FIFA 14 Ultimate Team wills hare a common auction market, within each of the respective platforms. Regardless of which version you are playing, the player cards will be transferable between current- and next-gen platforms.

EA Sports senior VP and Group GM Matt Bilbey had this to say: "Our fans invest an enormous amount of time and energy into FIFA Ultimate Team as they craft their own unique squads, and recognizing that investment is absolutely essential. We will ensure that no time will be wasted and fans will get full value for the investment they make from the start of the season on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to their move to their new console."

FIFA 14 will release in North America on September 24 and worldwide on September 27 for current-gen systems. Although it will also be coming to the Xbox One and PS4, those release dates have no yet been announced.
