FIFA 16 ‘no touch dribbling’ feature announced

EA Sports has today announced that it's highly anticipated FIFA 16 will include improved "no touch" dribbling gameplay, allowing gamers to mimic the skills of Lionel Messi and others when playing the game.

Over the last few years the emphasis for EA has been on capturing the experience of football through fancy graphics and realistic features. Now though, it would seem that FIFA 16 will instead be prioritising the actual gaming experience, allowing players to dribble like never before.

Gamers and football fans will be able to weave in and out of defenders, fainting and shifting without actually making contact with the ball. A small change some might say, but it will give the offensive side of the game a more unqiue and realistic feel (or defensive if you're showing off.)

EA has been using motion-capture technology to specifically replicate the movements of actual players within the game, promising to deliver the best FIFA title to date. This technology will allow players to move away from generic dribbling techniques and have their own, personal movements when in possession.

It is believed that this new "no touch" dribbling feature can be used by clicking the L1/LB, stepping away from the ball (when in possession,) and use the left analog to shift and ghost past other players.

The "no touch" dribbling feature is just one of many that EA has released for FIFA 16, which is set for release in September 2015.
