FIFA 16 Web App release date revealed

Web App going ahead, despite fears that it could face the axe

EA Sports has confirmed that usual service for the Web App will resume alongside FIFA 16's Early Access package, amid fears that the feature could be cut.

The images that EA has released via their YouTube channel (such as the one below) suggest that the game's Web App will be made available on September 17th, however speculation suggests that the app has been opened already. There is no official word on that at the moment.

External FUT coin sellers proved problematic for EA Sports in FIFA 15 as bots used their Web App service to buy and sell coins, despite previous warnings from game developers. Many fans were concerned that the Web App may never recover from the disappointment of last year, however EA Sports have sensationally kept the service.

FIFA 16's Web App service, in terms of the transfer market, now has to be activated on the console first before future use – one of EA's new security features. The focus seems to be keeping the "bots" away from the service in an attempt to block coin sellers at source.
