EA has announced that U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan has been chosen for the cover of FIFA Soccer 12. Donovan will join Manchester United and England international striker Wayne Rooney on the cover in North America, along with a third player who will be revealed tomorrow.
Donovan has been a staple on the U.S. men’s national team, appearing in three FIFA World Cup Tournaments. It’s only fitting that the face of U.S. soccer will grace the North American covers. Donovan is the USA’s all-time leading scorer with 46 goals in 146 international appearances.
Donovan also plays for the LA Galaxy where he is currently tied for the lead in MLS goal-scoring with 11 goals.
