Final Fantasy 15 Gets “Stable Mode” for PS4 Pro and Timed Quests

Square Enix isn't anywhere near done with FFXV

Final Fantasy 15 is receiving a patch on April 27 according to Square Enix Japan. There's no word on a western release, but we have no reason not to expect it.

This free update adds a mix of features, which is sure to please all Final Fantasy 15 fans. One of the most notable additions is the "stable mode" for PS4 Pro. This mode, rumored previously by Square Enix, should have the option to lock frame rates like a number of other PS4 capable games have.

Gematsu translated the press release from Square Enix and the following features will be in the patch when it releases:

  • New “Stable Mode” added to the PlayStation 4 Pro resolution options. With this mode, you can comfortably enjoy playing the game with a stable frame rate.
  • Subtitles, as well as some menu screen text sizes have been enlarged.
  • Timed Quests will start up again, and a new ranking feature has been added. You can get a wonderful weapon as an initial reward.
  • New car stickers added for Regalia customization.
  • New songs added to the music player.

Final Fantasy 15 is available on PS4 and Xbox one. It's apparently getting a mobile game. In other Final Fantasy news, the Final Fantasy 14, the MMO, will be getting a live-action TV show in a way you might not expect.
