Final Fantasy 6 heading to Steam next week

Considered by many (at least those who actually played it before FF7) to be the greatest Final Fantasy game of all time, Final Fantasy 6, will be heading to Steam on December 16.

It won't be the gorgeous pixelated masterpiece from the SNES era though. Instead, it'll use the graphics from the iPhone port. Now, you can bitch and moan all you want, or you can be happy that a fantastic game like FF6 finally made its way to Steam. And if past early FF games were any indication, such as FF3 or FF4 The After Years, it was only natural that this was going to be the iPhone version.

Now if only they can somehow figure out a way to port FF9… After all, that game never saw any sort of release outside of the PS1.
