Final Fantasy IV: The After Years will be flying a whale over to Steam

Found over on the Square Enix UK YouTube channel is this darling little Final Fantasy IV: The After Years Steam announcement trailer. This is awesome.

The trailer shows that this version will be the 3D remake featuring an intro movie by Visual Works, Steam Achievements, and Steam trading cards.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years have appeared across a few consoles and mobile devices, but not PC. Well, now is the time. The journey takes place after the events of FFIV in a second generational style of gameplay. For instance, Cecil and Rosa have a child Ceodore – who is one of the main characters. Similarly, Rydia is older. There is a jolly mix of both returning and new characters.

The Steam version of this title is slated to release May 12th. Once it goes on sale and up until launch, you’ll be able to get 10% off. This will be bought. Enjoy the trailer above.
