Final Fantasy VII Remake product page appears on EB Games Australia, points to a ‘TBC 2017’ release window

I'm still hesitant to think that any chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake is near ready to release, but this is now the second unconfirmed rumor that points to 2017 getting the first chapter. EB Games Australia recently put up a product page for the game with a "Placeholder Price" of $109.95 and a release date of "TBC 2017."

Here's a screenshot of the product page:

Just a month ago, there was a rumor going around that the first chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake would release this year on PS4. Obviously, nothing has been confirmed by Square Enix one way or the other, but it does serve as a juicy tidbit (or bait) for conspiracy theorists that further pushes the narrative of Square Enix wanting to get the first chapter out in time for the series' 30th anniversary.

The first chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is supposedly going to release alongside Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, a Remaster of the series' twelfth installment as the main games that will help the company celebrate the anniversary. On top of that, you'd have to think more content would be on the way for Final Fantasy XV as well.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake was originally revealed to joyful cries from long time gamers back at E3 2015 and is due to release in parts that will be as large as one Final Fantasy XIII game. In layman's terms, it's big; probably bigger than the original game.

Personally, I'm still burned by the ten-year wait for Final Fantasy XV/Versus XIII that I still have little faith in seeing this game anywhere close to 2017. However, if the first chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake is ready to go, I'm ready to play.
