There have been a number of Final Fantasy games in the past that include a monster manual of sorts. There was the Beastiary in Final Fantasy Origins, and the Enemy Intel in the Datalog for Final Fantasy XIII. But now, it's implied that Final Fantasy XV will be receiving the same treatment.
When asked by Gematsu, Director Hajime Tabata responds, "There are plans. As for when, please look forward to further information."
This update may find itself among one of the DLCs planned for the game, although it sounds like there may be a wait. Maybe it's implied to be in a later DLC, but either way, it's a cool addition that seems fitting as an add-on as opposed to some of their decisions to add scenes to the original story post-release.
