With all of the information from the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event the hype train has started going real fast. Unfortunately, for some the train came to a sudden stop.
At the event, a new demo for FFXV, the Platinum Demo, was revealed and is available for download for both Xbox and Playstation, but not for PC. Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata told Engadget that there currently is no PC version in development, but he acknowledges that many PC gamers wants FFXV on PC. Hajime Tabata said:
"Unfortunately we weren't able to do simultaneous development on a PC and console version for XV," he said. "We had to focus on the console version and our goal was to maximize, optimize everything for the HD consoles. Once that's done, then we will definitely take a good, hard look at PC and what we need to do, and consider all our options. But right now we aren't decided, we're still considering a lot of things."
The FFXV team focused really hard on making a high quality game for consoles that will both look and feel good, and for all we know, making a PC version could have delayed the game a few more years.
Final Fantasy XV comes out on consoles on September 30 worldwide.
