Those who were looking forward to getting a glimpse of Square Enix’s latest MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, are going to have to wait a bit longer. According to the Open Beta Test Application Site, the game’s open beta testing phase has been postponed due to “critical bugs.”
Open beta registration codes are also being postponed, so those who haven’t already registered will have to wait for the issues to be resolved before they can nab one for themselves.
Square Enix says that a new schedule will be released “at a later date.” However, since the PC launch of Final Fantasy XIV is scheduled for the end of September, there isn’t a lot of time left to iron out the bugs and go through open beta testing.
