The Fable: Reaver digital short story released on May 2 and runs about 38-43 pages in length, depending on format. It costs 99 cents and tells the story of Captain Dread, who makes a deal with the port cities only to face opposition by an outlaw named Reaver.

Del Rey will publish the next e-book, Fable: Jack of Blades, on May 22, and finally Fable: Theresa on June 19. The stories are available for purchase in the US and UK. Renowned writer Peter David is penning each.

These e-books acts as teasers for a full-fledged novel coming this August from author Christie Golden and companies Random House and Prima Games. Fable: At the Edge of the World is already slated for a sequel.
