The Wolfpack has returned to Las Vegas in the first official images of The Hangover Part III, and hopefully a return to Sin City where they found a baby, had a tiger in their bathroom, and lost a tooth will mark a return to greatness after a lackluster sequel. Though Vegas is just one of the locations that the movie will take place in, the first image has Phil, Alan, Doug and Stu walking across a backdrop of Vegas — Beatles style.
Director Todd Phillips explained that the third film will focus mainly on Alan, aka Fat Jesus. Phillips said, "The Hangover Part III is Alan's story. He's going through a crisis after the death of his father, [and] the Wolfpack is all he has."
The second image of The Hangover Part III has Ken Jeong's character of Leslie Chow dressed like a sheriff and pointing a gun — something that would not be a stretch for his character on the sitcom Community, either. Phillips described Jeong's Chow as "darker than ever."
The Hangover Part III is due out on May 24, 2013 and stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ed Helms and Ken Jeong.
