Is there anything better than Pixar's Toy Story Toons shorts? Well, the movies are, but the shorts will do until we get an inevitable Toy Story 4. With the upcoming September release of Finding Nemo 3D, Pixar is giving us another Toy Story animated short called Partysaurus Rex.
Everyone's favorite toy dinosaur will be joining Bonnie during bathtime. Director Mark Walsh said about the short, "If you're a bath toy you get really intense playtime. It's like a party. Then when the water goes down you can't move. You're helpless. And that's pathetic, these guys in bottom of the tub all the time." So what does Rex do? He puts his tiny T-Rex arms to use and turns the water on for these toys, getting a rave-like party going. Walsh added, "What I was going for was, you move to a new town and make new friends, and suddenly you think you have this chance where you can reinvent yourself. I love that Rex, in his sweetness, thinks he can reinvent who he is in the image of a party animal."
The two released images, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, gives us a glimpse at Rex in full Partysaurus mode, as well as Bonnie's bathroom. Adding further to the debate whether Bonnie from Toy Story 3 is Boo from Monsters Inc., just older, you can see that her toilet seat has a cover with Sully's colors and print. In true Pixar style, the bathtub also looks to have some characters from Finding Nemo on it.
You can see Partysaurus Rex before Finding Nemo 3D, which hits theaters on September 14.
