Director Neill Blomkamp gave fans a sneak peek at the new-and-improved Pulse Rifle in the upcoming film Alien 5. The Colonial Marines from Aliens may have had knives and sharp sticks on LV-426, but the new Pulse Rifle will boast a Rail Interface System (RIS), which allows the user to attach various accessories such as lights and scopes.
Details regarding the new Alien film remain scarce, but Blomkamp has said he wants the fifth installment in the franchise to "feel like it's literally the genetic sibling of Aliens." As such, Alien 5 will ignore both Alien 3 and Resurrection, which means the return of Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and Hicks (Michael Biehn).
Too bad Blomkamp can't go even further back and bring back Hudson, the ultimate badass.
