First look at Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer comes tonight at Halofest

Get hyped for the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Leading up to tomorrow's launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the festivities of Halofest will continue tonight.

While this weekend was full of exciting Halo news, tonight promises those who tune in a first look at Halo 5: Guardians' multiplayer beta before its release on December 29. During tonights broadcast, fans can watch an exhibition match between eSports pros to see the future of Halo multiplayer gameplay. Unfortunately, some of that future was leaked over the weekend, revealing sprinting and aiming down sights.

Tonight also marks the world premiere of Halo: Nightfall, a live-action digital series which introduces Agent Locke — a pivotal new character in Halo 5: Guardians. Other fun activities include interviews with Head of 343 Industries Bonnie Ross, Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor, Executive Producer Dan Ayoub, Executive Producer Josh Holmes and others "as they talk about the past, present and future of the Halo universe."

Halofest continues tonight via a live broadcast on Xbox LIVE, Xbox.com and Twitch, at 8 p.m. PT.
