The new Power Rangers film doesn't release until March 24th 2017. As much as I want to see it, maybe waiting this long will be a good thing as it will give them time to change the look of the new Megazord.
An Instagram post has revealed what the new Megazord will look like in toy form, and to be honest it's not looking very good. The resemblance is more along the lines of a samurai Digimon than the actual Megazord, and fan reactions seem to be mixed. The main point of the Megazord is that it separates into all five of the Rangers' Zords, but you can't see the individual Zords in this image.
This Megazord seems more of its own entity than a combination of the five Zords. Of course, it is only the toy's image so things could appear different in the film's depiction of things. After all, on screen images don't always translate well to miniature, plastic toys. It seems a lot of things are different, as a couple weeks ago we brought you a first look at the T-Rex Zord which now has a mounted gun on its back. I understand changing things for the times and making some minor adjustments, but this new Megazord just doesn't seem right to me.
