Sony has confirmed that the lineup of first-party launch titles for the PS4 — Killzone: Shadow Fall, Driveclub, Knack, and inFamous: Second Son — will cost $59.99. The news comes on the heels of Microsoft confirming that it's own Xbox One first-party titles will also be priced at $59.99.
There could be a catch, though. Sony's specific quote to ShackNews reads, "We have announced the pricing for our first party line up of PS4 launch and launch window games. All four titles, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Driveclub, Knack, and inFamous Second Son are all $59.99."
Does this mean the price for future first-party PS4 games could see an increase in the future? And what about third-party publishers and retailers? Many of them have not yet announced their pricing plans for next-gen games, though online retailers like Amazon and GameStop have listed a $59.99 price tag on next-gen game pre-orders.
