First poster for Netflix’s Luke Cage revealed

Netflix has released the first poster for their upcoming Marvel series Luke Cage. Based on the comic character, he will be played by Michael Colter who began on the Jessica Jones Netflix series. Marvel's Chief Creative Office Joe Quesada created the poster, which will be on display at their booth during SDCC.

There is no word if a trailer will be revealed at the event, but chances are more than likely yes considering it's the last big event before the series releases on September 30th. Quesada spoke with TV Insider and said that

You’ve got one shot to encapsulate a character with a pose that’s provocative and that you hope will someday be iconic. Mike gives Luke a smoldering strength. He’s sexy and calming. And the ladies love it.”

The Luke Cage will carry over into the Daredevil and upcoming Ironfist series as they prepare for The Defenders, which will begin filming in October. We'll let you know as more news comes out of SDCC and check out the poster below.
