First RollerCoaster Tycoon World screenshots show improved visuals, new attractions, park themes

Pipeworks’ forthcoming reincarnation of the Roller Coaster Tycoon series, Roller Coaster Tycoon World, has been given a much-needed face thanks to a new batch of screenshots.

In an effort to distance the title from Rollercoaster Tycoon 4, a mobile release that didn’t sit well with us and most critics, Pipeworks is working to preserve the spirit of the first two titles, PC Gamer reports. As such, audience micromanagement, custom attractions and coasters, and the infinitely entertaining death coasters—you know, the ones without proper brakes that launch unwitting riders into the sunset—are back in force.

New features include a first- and third-person viewing option allowing you to “ride” your coasters yourself. Interestingly, virtual reality support for this feature isn’t off the table.

Aggregate audience feedback is another welcomed addition, as it compiles the opinions and thoughts of park-goers into a single database, allowing for blanket adjustments to be made without picking the brains of countless patrons.
