First teaser for Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 shows impossible kill

CI Games has at long last shared the very first look at their upcoming long-range shooter Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2. In the short teaser we get to see an insane sniper shot from over 1500 meters. It’s arguably to prepare prospect players for the long-range encounters that are inbound. Watch the teaser here!

The long-running sniper series by CI Games is going for a new round. The developer hasn’t shared a concrete release date yet but the ‘Coming Soon’ disclaimer has us hoping for a release before the end of the year.

Despite the ‘2’ in the name, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is actually the sixth entry in the franchise. Despite so many titles already out, the series always remained second fiddle in the niche sniping genre, with the Sniper Elite series being the undisputed kings.

The developers did try to change up the formula by going full open-world with Ghost Warrior 3 but it proved too big a task for the small studio to pull off as intended. Things changed for the positive though with the first Contracts of last year. Generally positive reviews brought the shaky franchise back to its open-ended level-based structure.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is picking up where the first Contracts left off by sticking to the level-based approach. Today’s teaser trailer spikes anticipation that these levels will be humongous. Set in the Middle East, Contracts 2 is offering extremely long-range sniping action for fans of the genre. Vast mountainous terrains, sparse urban landscapes, and virtually no greenery to obstruct the vision are the perfect scene for sniping.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is slated to come out very soon for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
